The Russian government has approved the creation of new special economic zones (SEZs) in the Moscow region, as well as in the Vologda and Novosibirsk regions. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Bolshoy Serpukhov SEZ will start operating in the south of the Moscow Region. 7 investment projects with a total investment volume of more than 8 billion rubles will be implemented here.
Investors will launch the production of medicines, produce autonomous fire extinguishing devices, develop a system for disinfection and sterilization of medical devices, and create domestic equipment for DNA research.
The Vologda industrial-type SEZ will be located next to Vologda. Its residents will be six companies that will manufacture furniture, bearings, low-pressure amalgam lamps, metallurgical production, as well as the creation of house kits and wooden building materials. The total investment volume of resident enterprises will amount to 8.7 billion rubles.
The regional authorities will create engineering, transport, social and other infrastructure of the SEZ at the expense of the regional budget by 2027. A total of 1.5 billion rubles are allocated for these purposes.
The Novosibirsk SEZ will be formed on the territory of two districts of the Novosibirsk region located next to the main regional city. There are 5 companies planning to work in the SEZ, which will attract more than 9.2 billion rubles of investments.
The residents intend to implement projects to create two transport and logistics centers and build a factory for the production of paving slabs. In addition, it is planned to launch an enterprise for the production of electrical equipment and a waste-free sawmill in the Novosibirsk SEZ.
