The Government of the Russian Federation has extended until the end of 2025 the special procedure for the sale of registered foreign medicines in the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It provides for the possibility of selling foreign drugs not only in Russian, but also in foreign packaging with a label in Russian. This makes it possible to avoid shortages of medicines and interruptions in supplies to pharmacies, clinics and hospitals, the report emphasizes.
A special interdepartmental commission decides on the sale of medicines in foreign packaging. It includes representatives of the Ministry of Health, Roszdravnadzor, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Federal Customs Service.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers extended simplified procedures for state registration of a number of medicines and the most in-demand medical devices until the end of 2027.
