The Cabinet of Ministers extended the temporary order of employment of employees of companies that left the Russian Federation

The Government of the Russian Federation extends the possibility of temporary transfer to other organizations of employees of enterprises that have suspended their activities in Russia until the end of 2023. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

A special procedure for the employment of employees of temporarily suspended enterprises was introduced in early April and was supposed to be in effect until the end of 2022.

Employees who risk losing their jobs due to the suspension of the company may be temporarily transferred to other organizations. To transfer to a new place, the written consent of the employees and the direction of the employment center are required. Temporary employers conclude a fixed-term employment contract with citizens with the possibility of its extension.

The employment contract concluded with the main employer is suspended in this case, but not terminated. Thus, after the termination or termination of a fixed-term employment contract, the employee will be able to return to his former place. This is primarily relevant for employees of enterprises and organizations that have announced a temporary suspension of work in Russia without the intention to completely cease operations in our country.
