The Government of the Russian Federation has increased the share of subsidizing the costs of converting cars to gas from gasoline.  It implies a 2-fold increase in the subsidy standards in 2022 to 48% from 24% of the total cost of work. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The amendments were made to one of the appendices to the state program "Energy Development", which defines the rules for granting subsidies to citizens, as well as small and medium-sized businesses for the conversion of cars, public transport and utility equipment to work on gas.

The state program "Energy Development" provides for an increase in the volume of consumption of natural gas as motor fuel to 2.7 billion cubic meters by the end of 2024. At the same time, work is underway to develop the necessary infrastructure for this. Within five years, about 1.3 thousand gas filling stations should be built in Russia.
