The Government of the Russian Federation has determined the procedure for duty-free import of butter to Russia in accordance with a previously approved decision of the EEC Council. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In accordance with the resolution, the Ministry of Agriculture will issue a confirmation of the conformity of imported oil with the parameters necessary to provide a tariff benefit.
At the end of November 2024, the EEC Council abolished the duty on the import of 25 thousand tons of butter into the Russian Federation. The decision will be valid until mid-June 2025. In mid-December, it was initialed by representatives of the governments of the EAEU countries, and entered into force on December 23.
