The Government of the Russian Federation has determined the procedure for duty-free supplies of potatoes, carrots and apples to the Russian Federation in accordance with a previously approved decision of the EEC Council. The relevant resolutions were signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Agriculture has been designated as the authorized body coordinating the duty-free import of these products. The Ministry will issue confirmations of compliance of imported vegetables and fruits with the parameters necessary for granting tariff benefits.
At the end of November 2024, the EEC Council approved a decision according to which 150 thousand tons of potatoes, 55 thousand tons of carrots and 230 thousand tons of apples can be imported duty-free into the Russian Federation by July 31, 2025.
