The Government of the Russian Federation has simplified the procedure for technological connection to the electric grid for SMEs. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Small and medium-sized businesses will be able to connect their facilities to the power grid without a paper contract.
The document concerns the category of consumers who need capacities from 150 kW to 670 kW inclusive to connect facilities.
To date, applicants have had to return to the network organization the documents signed on their part, which were drawn up at the time of joining.
Now, in order to receive a service for technical connection to the electric grid, applicants only need to submit an application in electronic form and pay the invoice issued by the electric grid organization – the contract will be considered concluded from the moment the invoice is paid.
The grid company will independently upload the final documents on joining to the applicant's personal account on the website of the electric grid company or on the public services portal. However, they do not require the signature of the applicant. Interaction between the applicant and the electric grid company will now be conducted only in electronic form.
