The Center for International and Comparative Legal Studies and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of ECUMENE-2022. It was signed by the heads of the organizations — Ekaterina Salugina-Fortieth and Hamad Ebrahim Al Abdullah, respectively. This is reported on the forum's website.
Among the areas of mutual interest, they noted such topics as sustainable development, climate change and energy transition, public international law, dispute resolution, e-commerce and digital trade, COVID-19 and its consequences, national economic and business regulation.
The centers agreed to cooperate in a number of areas, including research, joint events, exchange of visits by research scientists, as well as educational materials and best practice studies, and assistance in capacity building.
