The Bank of Russia has extended for a year, until December 31, 2025, a grace period during which companies will not be charged a commission for transactions with digital rubles. This is stated in the message of the regulator.
From January 1, 2026, the tariff for accepting payments for goods and services in digital rubles will begin to apply for businesses — 0.3% of the payment amount, but not more than 1.5 thousand rubles. The tariff for companies providing housing and communal services is even lower — 0.2%, but not more than 10 rubles. The commission for transfers between legal entities will be 15 rubles per operation.
At the same time, all users will be able to open or close an account on the digital ruble platform without commissions.
The Central Bank reminds that for individuals, any transactions with the national digital currency will be free, regardless of the grace period.
