The Central Bank has recorded the maximum quarterly net inflow of funds from individuals to the securities market since the end of 2021

The net inflow of funds from individuals in the first quarter of 2023 was the highest since the end of 2021 - 285 billion rubles. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.

The number of clients on brokerage services in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 6% to 24.5 million people, the average account size — excluding empty and with small amounts — increased to 1.4 million rubles.

The volume of assets of retail investors placed with brokers reached 7 trillion rubles. The share of Russian stocks and bonds has grown in their structure. The share of foreign assets decreased from 31% to 28%.

In the trust management segment, the volume of portfolios of individuals increased to 1.4 trillion rubles due to the inflow of funds into short-term money market strategies.

At the same time, clients left massive long-term strategies, including those opened within the framework of individual investment accounts. The average size of the retail investor's portfolio increased to 1.7 million rubles from 1.5 million rubles.
