The Bank of Russia plans to expand by 26% up and down the corridor of the basic CTP tariff for most categories of car owners. This is stated in the message of the regulator.

For passenger cars of citizens, the base rate of the CTP tariff will be set by insurers individually for each driver in the range from 1.646 thousand rubles to 7.535 thousand rubles. For public transport, the tariff corridor will expand by 17.8% in both directions.

The need to adjust the basic tariffs is confirmed by actuarial calculations that take into account current data on the cost of spare parts. The most "breaking" parts in accidents have risen in price by an average of 28.7%, follows from the updated directories of the cost of spare parts of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers.

Previously, the Central Bank has repeatedly expanded the CTP tariff corridor for greater individualization of the tariff. In September 2020, the tariff corridor expanded by 10% in both directions. As a result, the average CTP premium in 2021 increased by 1.85% compared to 2020.
