The Bank of Russia did not revise the value of the national countercyclical allowance, effective from July 1, 2025 (0.5 percentage points to the capital adequacy ratios of banks). This is stated in the press service of the regulator.
Since the beginning of this year, banks' capital adequacy has increased to 13.4% from 12.5% as of July 1, 2025.
According to the Central Bank, the banking sector has sufficient capital reserves for sustainable financing of the economy, taking into account the decisions already taken on macroprudential instruments, as well as taking into account the planned increase in capital adequacy allowances.
