Starting from December 8, 2025, the Bank of Russia cancels previously established limits on transfers of foreign currency abroad for Russians and citizens from friendly countries. This is reported on the regulator's website.

At the same time, from December 8, 2025 to June 7, 2026, a ban on the transfer of funds abroad remains in place for non–resident individuals from unfriendly countries who do not work in the Russian Federation, as well as for legal entities from such states. This restriction does not apply to foreign companies that are controlled by Russian legal entities or individuals.

Non–resident individuals working in the Russian Federation from unfriendly countries will be able to transfer abroad only funds in the amount of wages.

These prohibitions do not apply to transactions involving the transfer of funds by foreign investors who invest in the Russian financial market from In-type accounts to accounts abroad.

Credit organizations from unfriendly countries may transfer funds in rubles using correspondent accounts opened with Russian credit organizations if the accounts of the payer and recipient are opened with foreign banks.
