The Central Bank predicts an increase to 78-80% of the share of non-cash transactions in retail in 2023

 The Bank of Russia has clarified the key indicators laid down in the Strategy for the Development of the national payment system for 2021-2023. This is reported by the regulator.

The forecast for the growth of the share of non-cash transactions in retail in 2023 has been raised to 78-80% from 75%. At the end of September, the indicator reached 77.7%.

In addition, the indicators for the share of Mir and SBP cards in the total volume of retail non-cash transactions were combined. This will allow a comprehensive approach to assessing the use of national payment instruments, the Central Bank believes.

Adjusted targets for the number of trading companies accepting payments through the Fast Payment System due to the active development of the payments segment in the SBP.
