The Russian economy, according to the basic scenario of the forecast of the dynamics of the main economic indicators in the Russian Federation, will shrink in 2022 and for most of 2023, adapting to the changed external conditions. In 2025, the economy will return to a potential growth rate of 1.5-2.5%. This is reported in the draft of the main directions of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia.

In accordance with the baseline scenario, the sanctions imposed on the Russian economy will mostly remain on the entire forecast horizon.

In turn, the global economy continues to develop within the framework of previously formed trends. In response to the acceleration of inflation, the largest central banks will raise rates. This will lead to a slowdown in the growth of the global economy.
