The Bank of Russia has raised its forecast for an increase in household funds in Russian banks in 2024 to 23-26% from 16-21%. This is reported in the materials of the Central Bank.
The regulator expects a significant increase in household funds in the fourth quarter of 2024, taking into account the payment of annual bonuses in anticipation of an increase in tax deductions and the advance payment of January pensions in December.
The growth of household funds (excluding escrow accounts) in the third quarter of 2024 amounted to 3.8% (+1.9 trillion rubles), after a 6.5% increase in the second quarter of this year.
Ruble balances increased only on term deposits (+7%, +2.2 trillion rubles), while on current accounts they decreased by 0.8% (-0.1 trillion rubles).
