The Bank of Russia has revoked the license for banking operations from Ufa Promtransbank. In terms of assets, the credit institution ranked 177th in the Russian banking system. This is stated in the press service of the regulator.
The bank was chronically unprofitable. The credit institution carried out large long-term investments, the profitability of which did not cover the costs of the funds raised, which for a long time had a negative impact on the size of its own funds, the Central Bank emphasizes.
At the same time, the measures taken by the owner of the PTB to restore the financial situation of the organization, in the opinion of the Central Bank, were insufficient to normalize the situation. Further financial support from the owner of the bank is not possible.
The Bank served clients who participated in significant suspicious transactions aimed at withdrawing funds into the shadow market. At the same time, the credit institution committed numerous AML/CFT violations identified by the Central Bank both during remote supervision and as a result of an inspection.
PromTransBank is a member of the deposit insurance system.
