The Kaliningrad Arbitration Court accepted a claim from the Prosecutor General's Office against the structures of the Borets group.

The Electronic Justice website has published information about a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office with the Arbitration Court of the Kaliningrad region. The defendants in the lawsuit are the company "Borets Holding Company Ltd.", LLC "International Company "Saltekor Investments" and "International Commercial Company "Oil Production Equipment Development Center". PC Borets LLC, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and the Federal Agency for State Property Management are among the participants in the case. The details of the claim are unknown, as the court decided to consider the case in a closed session, but among the accepted documents are a number of writ of execution for interim measures.

According to Interfax, the agency is asking the court to convert 99.99% of PC Borets, owned by MKOO Saltekor Investments, and 0.01% owned by MKK Oil Production Equipment Development Center (Seychelles), into state ownership.

Among the co-owners of the holding, the lawsuit names British citizen Mark Shabad, Swedish citizen Gregory Shtulberg, as well as former Yukos shareholder Leonid Nevzlin (included in the register of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice), convicted in absentia in the Russian Federation.

These individuals have taken the strategically important holding company out of state control and are keeping it under foreign control, bypassing the procedures established by the legislation of the Russian Federation on special economic measures and countering illegal control over strategic companies by foreign investors, Interfax notes, citing the text of the lawsuit.

The Borets Group of Companies specializes in the manufacture of oilfield equipment. The holding company includes LLC LeMaZ, LLC Lysvaneftemash, LLC Kurgan-Kabel, LLC Borets-NEO, LLC Oskolneftemash and a number of service companies.
