The Moscow Arbitration Court has confirmed the legality of bringing Russian Railways to administrative responsibility for prolonged lack of electricity supply to the subscriber. This is stated in the message of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in Moscow.

Russian Railways, acting as an electric grid organization for the consumer, is obliged to ensure the transmission of electric energy of appropriate quality to the subscriber, as well as to prevent exceeding the power outage for no more than 72 hours per year and no more than 24 hours in a row, including the period of restoration of power supply for consumers of the third reliability category, the message emphasizes.

JSC "Russian Railways" (TIN 7708503727) was established on October 1, 2003 on the basis of the Ministry of Railways. The state owns 100% of the company's shares.

The net profit of Russian Railways holding in 2024 according to IFRS amounted to 50.7 billion rubles against 170.08 billion rubles a year earlier. The reduction is 70%. The total revenues of the holding increased by 9.2% to RUB 3.29 trillion.

Loading on the Russian Railways network in January-May 2025 fell by 7.3% to 465.2 million tons compared to a year earlier. Passenger traffic increased by 2.2% to 507.5 million compared to a year earlier.
