The Central District Court of Omsk found Anatoly Pritula, the former owner and chairman of the Board of Directors of SIBES Omsk Bank, and his accomplice Avtandil Sariev guilty of embezzling 56 million rubles from a credit institution. This is reported on the website of the Deposit Insurance Agency.

A.Pritula was sentenced to 3 years of probation with a probation period of 2.5 years, A.Sariev — to 4.5 years in prison.

The civil claim filed by the DIA in the interests of the bank was satisfied in the amount of 56 million rubles. Arrests on the property of convicts have been preserved, the report emphasizes.

Earlier, A. Pritula and eight other ex-heads of the credit institution, at the request of the DIA, were brought to subsidiary liability, the potential amount of which exceeds 1.7 billion rubles.

The grounds for bringing to justice were the issuance of technical loans and other schemes for the withdrawal of liquid assets from the bank.

The Central Bank revoked the license for banking operations from SIBES Bank in 2017 due to critically increased risks associated with refinancing the debts of individuals and the implementation of scheme transactions with consumer loan claims acquired from microfinance organizations.
