The document lays down the general legal basis for the implementation of electronic commerce in the Union and is aimed at ensuring respect for the rights and legitimate interests of participants in mutual electronic commerce.
The rules of interaction between the participants are defined, including the requirements for the pre-trial settlement of disputes between e-commerce participants, the terms and conditions for the refund of funds, as well as the conditions for the return of goods, in particular, it fixes a single 14-day period for the return of goods of proper quality.
The Agreement defines approaches to the use of electronic document management in electronic commerce within the EAEU, as well as ensuring data protection and information security.
The requirements for advertising newsletters are fixed and it is envisaged to create a register of goods that are prohibited or restricted for sale via the Internet in the countries of the Union in accordance with their legislation.
