The Federal Antimonopoly Service has opened a case against Apple. This is reported on the FAS website.
Earlier, the antimonopoly authority issued a warning to Apple about the need to eliminate discriminatory conditions for Russian search engines. Apple must also comply with the requirements for pre-installing Russian software on iOS devices.
The reason for the warning was the fact that a foreign search service was integrated into devices based on the iOS operating system (iPhone, iPad).
According to the legislation, technically complex goods sold in the Russian Federation should be able to work by default with the Russian search engine or the search engine of another EAEU member state.
Earlier, on July 27, Apple announced that the updated version of the software includes the possibility of pre-installing a Russian search engine.
Apple did not comply with the warnings of the antimonopoly authority regarding the pre-installation of the national messenger and the Russian app store on devices with the iOS operating system (iPhone, iPad).
