Since December 8, 2025, the private educational institution Lyceum Boarding School Podmoskovny has been owned by the Federal Agency for State Property Management. Such changes have occurred in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities according to the KonturFocus information system.

So, on November 6, 2025, following a court hearing in the Meshchansky Court of Moscow, the boarding school "Podmoskovny" was transferred to the income of the Russian Federation. The final court decision was made on November 25, 2025. The decision was made based on a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office, which claimed that the property actually belongs to Mikhail Khodorkovsky* and Platon Lebedev, the former head of Menatep. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the lyceum was nominally owned by two offshore companies — Jensen Cort Ltd, registered in the Virgin Islands, and the Panamanian Dayspring Group. inc.

The Lyceum was founded in the nineties of the last century on the site of the former Korallovo recreation center in the premises of an ancient manor. In the noughties, extensive restoration work was carried out in it and new academic buildings were built. Orphans of Yukos employees who died in the workplace lived and studied at the lyceum. In those years, the best teachers were invited to teach lyceum students, Latin and Greek were among the compulsory subjects.

Recently, according to the lyceum's website, children of military personnel who died or were injured in the performance of military duty, children of military personnel serving in their military units, and orphaned children have a preferential right to enroll in an educational institution.

Until 2022, the lyceum's activities were funded by voluntary property contributions and donations. Each year, the lyceum received 300-400 million rubles from donors. The last large sum was received in 2022 — 601.5 million rubles. In 2023 and 2024, the lyceum operated mainly through the use of accumulated funds. In 2024, the amount of donations decreased to 10 million rubles. at an annual cost of 330 million. By the beginning of 2025, the remaining target funds amounted to 177 million rubles, which should have been enough just before the court's decision on nationalization.

In conditions of financial instability, the educational organization was looking for alternative ways of financing. In 2024, the Podmoskovny Boarding School Support Fund was established, which was supposed to collect donations from representatives of various graduates of the lyceum. In 2024, the fund was able to raise 91 million rubles.

After the transfer of ownership to the lyceum, the Federal Property Management Agency also began to control another educational institution, the Rosneft Nefteyugansk Corporate Institute Center for Professional Qualifications, co—founded by the private educational institution Podmoskovny Boarding School.
