The first-ever container transit from China to Europe via the Northern Sea Route, which left the port of Ningbo on September 23, arrived at the British port of Felixstowe. This was announced by Rosatom.
Information and navigation support for the vessel along the route was provided by Glavsevmorput (Rosatom's enterprise).
The route through the Russian Arctic took 20 days, which is almost half as long as using traditional southern routes.
