The foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation in January-September 2021 increased by 35% to $ 540 billion compared to the same period last year. This was stated by the head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Bulavin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a transcript posted on the Kremlin's website.

The volume of exports amounted to $310 billion, imports - $230 billion. The balance is positive. There are different components in these volumes: the cost growth of both imports and exports, introduced payments for the supply of grain, timber, but there is also such a component as the effectiveness of customs clearance in electronic declaration centers. "We are coping with the increasing flow of trade turnover quite successfully," V. Bulavin stressed.
