The Government of the Russian Federation will finance the creation of a test complex for the certification of electric vehicles. This is reported by the Cabinet of Ministers.
A subsidy in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles will be provided to the developer of a complex of test equipment, which should include: stands for checking engines and batteries, stands for testing cars for fire resistance, a crash test installation, a test site, two gas stations - for high–speed charging of electric vehicles and for refueling with hydrogen fuel.
The recipient of the financing will be determined by the Ministry of Industry and Trade through a competition. The funds will be provided in 2022-2023. The organization will have to create a complex and start testing and certification of eco-friendly vehicles there no later than December 31, 2024.
Currently, there are four centers operating in Russia that meet the requirements for obtaining funding.
