Sales of foreign exchange earnings by the largest Russian exporters in January 2025 amounted to $9.9 billion, a decrease of 25% compared to the previous month. Average daily net sales decreased by 7% to $582 million. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
The regulator explains this indicator as a lower number of working days in January compared to December, as well as a number of other factors, such as the timing of crediting export earnings, tax payments, etc.
Sales of foreign exchange earnings by the largest exporters in December 2024 amounted to $13.2 billion, an increase of 66% compared to the previous month due to an increase in sales of oil and gas companies, which was due to a one-time factor. Average daily net sales also increased by 66% to $628 million.
Last year, the net sales of the largest exporters averaged $11.9 billion per month.
