The largest Russian exporters sold $12.4 billion worth of foreign currency in February 2025, which is 25% higher than in the previous month. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
After 5 months of selling foreign currency in February, the population switched to small purchases. In total, in February, individuals purchased currency for 6.5 billion rubles after selling it in January for 32.9 billion rubles.
At the same time, in the first decade of February, the population sold currency for 12.5 billion rubles, in the rest of the month, on the contrary, individuals purchased currency for 19 billion rubles.
