The Presidium of the Government Commission on Digital Development, the Use of Information Technologies to improve the quality of life and business conditions approved changes to the "roadmaps" "Quantum Communications" and "Quantum Computing". This is reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The roadmap for quantum communications has increased the targets to be achieved by 2030. Thus, the length of quantum networks by 2025 should be 7 thousand km, by 2030 – 15 thousand km.
The roadmap for quantum computing includes measures to form an educational ecosystem in the field of quantum computing. A corporate university for the development of quantum computing based on Rosatom structures will be created at the federal level to form a personnel reserve of high-tech areas. In the future, the leading universities of the country will participate in the project, where additional education programs will be implemented, including the most effective solutions for the development of quantum computing and best practices.
