Inflation in the Russian Federation by the end of 2026 will be 5.2% December to December. This is evidenced by the basic version of the forecast of socio-economic development of the Ministry of Economic Development.
Taking into account the slowdown in consumer activity at the beginning of the year, the turnover of retail trade, catering and paid services to the public in 2026 will increase by 1.2%, including retail trade turnover by 0.8%, and the volume of paid services to the public by 1.7%.
The forecast emphasizes that a more restrained growth in consumer demand will occur against the background of a slowdown in the increase in real disposable incomes of the population, which will grow by 0.8% this year.
The accumulated savings of the population will support the growth of consumer activity. At the same time, the savings rate will decrease this year to 14.3%.
