The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation supports the proposal not to raise the VAT rate, the growth of which may lead to increased inflation. Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said this at a parliamentary hearing in the State Duma, the Finance Ministry said.
The minister also said that it is planned to expand the boundaries under which businesses will have the right to apply the "simplified tax system" while introducing duties to pay VAT when raising the threshold for revenue, the amount of which should be brought closer to the countries of the nearest neighbors.
