The Ministry of Finance will sell 192.1 billion rubles worth of foreign currency and gold in January as part of the budget rule

From January 16 to February 5, 2026, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will sell 192.1 billion rubles worth of foreign currency and gold within the framework of the budget rule. The daily volume of transactions will be the equivalent of 12.8 billion rubles. This is reported on the ministry's website.

The Ministry of Finance expects that the federal budget will lose oil and gas revenues by 231.9 billion rubles in January this year. The deviation of the actually received oil and gas revenues from the expected monthly volume in December amounted to 39.8 billion rubles.
