Consumers of financial services and investors sent 368 thousand complaints to the Bank of Russia in 2022. The key reason for the growth was complaints related to sanctions restrictions, the press service of the regulator reports.

Most of the "sanctions" complaints – 27.6 thousand – were received by credit organizations. Most of the complaints are related to the transfer and withdrawal of foreign currency, restructuring and credit holidays.

Complaints against insurers increased by 30.2% to 59.3 thousand. This is caused by a stream of template requests to change the bonus-malus coefficient, which is used in calculating the cost of CTP.

The number of complaints against microfinance organizations decreased by 5.6% to 47 thousand, primarily due to a 30.6% decrease in requests for repayment of overdue debts. At the same time, complaints about fraud have become more frequent, including the issuance of loans by malefactors in someone else's name (+38.6%).

An increase of 40% to 5.8 thousand in the number of complaints related to misselling occurred mainly due to incorrect sales of mutual fund units, products and services of trust managers, as well as cumulative life insurance policies that were issued in previous years.
