The number of consumer loans issued in the Russian Federation in 2021 increased by 33%

Russians in 2021 attracted 19.3 million consumer loans, which is 33% more than in 2020. In December, individuals took 1.76 million loans in cash. This is 22% more than in December 2020, the OKB said in a statement.

Among the 30 regions in which the population took out the largest number of cash loans in 2021, the most significant growth was recorded in Moscow and the Moscow Region (38%), the Tyumen Region (38%), Tatarstan (39%) and the Irkutsk Region (40%). Lending grew the least in Udmurtia, Samara and Omsk regions, as well as in the Altai Territory (in all by 28%).
