Russian airlines carried 49.15 million passengers in the first half of 2026, including 36.34 million on domestic flights and 12.81 million on international flights. In 6 months, airlines transported 8.22 million passengers (+1.6%) on flights between Russia and countries outside the CIS, and 1.54 million (+2.8%) in June. Passenger turnover in the first half of the year amounted to 131.59 billion passenger kilometers, which coincides with the results of January-June last year. The percentage of passenger seat occupancy increased by 0.7 percentage points to 89.3%.
Russian airports handled 97.16 million passengers in January-June. 24.61 million passengers were served in international traffic, which is 6% higher than in the same period of 2025.
