Russian insurers in January-September 2022 reduced profit by 31.2% to 130.5 billion rubles. due to losses in the second quarter of 2022. This is reported in the review of the Bank of Russia.
In the third quarter, insurers improved their financial results by 22.7% year-on-year. The regulator explains the growth of the indicator by an increase in profit from investment activities.
The profitability of insurance companies decreased slightly. Return on equity was 18.5%, return on assets – 4.3%.
The total assets of insurers at the end of September 2022 amounted to 4.4 trillion rubles, an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous quarter. The amount of capital of insurers increased by 6.4% to 1.1 trillion rubles.
