The State Duma adopted in the third reading the law on amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. The measures are aimed at stabilizing the situation in the fuel market, the State Duma said in a statement.
The adoption of the law will allow, among other things, "to remove the urgency of issues regarding the provision of fuel and lubricants to citizens and enterprises," said the chairman of the State Duma. Vyacheslav Volodin, whose words are quoted in the message.
Additional powers are vested in the Government of the Russian Federation. The adoption of the law will stimulate the saturation of the fuel market and the formation of necessary reserves.
In accordance with the law, the mechanism of taxation of excise duties on gasoline produced by mixing straight-run gasoline and other components is clarified. It also provides for the expansion of the fuel damper mechanism.
