In the third reading, the State Duma amended the Federal Law "On the Enactment of the Land Code of the Russian Federation" regarding the extension of the simplified procedure for registration of land plots for garages. This is stated in the message of the State Duma.
The law extends the "garage amnesty", which expires on September 1, 2026, for another five years — until September 1, 2031. This means that citizens will be able to arrange their individual garages and land plots under them in a simplified manner.
According to Rosreestr, over 746 thousand garages and land plots have already been registered throughout the country during the period of the "garage amnesty".
At least 500,000 more such facilities will be designed, said the co-author of the amendments, chairman of the Committee on State Construction and Legislation. Pavel Krasheninnikov, whose words are quoted in the message.
