The Government has approved changes to the rules for calculating fees for negative environmental impacts. This is reported by REO.
Now, if artificial soils produced from organic waste are not reused — for example, they are not used for road construction or landscaping, but are simply stored in landfills — you will have to pay for this as for waste disposal.
The new changes are related to the operation of landfills and the cost of negative impacts. If the soil has not been used for three years and ends up at the landfill, it is considered waste, and its storage entails the obligation to pay, said Denis Butsaev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, quoted in the message.
The changes relate to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who produce artificial soils or receive them for further use.
