On December 11, at the call of the Independent Self-governing Trade Union of Border Security Service Employees, border guards joined a nationwide protest action by police and firefighters in Poland. This is reported by foreign media.
Border guards demand a 15% salary increase in 2025 and the right to retire after 18 years of service, as well as the introduction of the same benefits that are available to military personnel. The Polish government provides for a salary increase of only 5% in the budget.
