The total salary arrears in Russia as of May 1, 2022 decreased by 11.8% to 889 million rubles. compared to April 1, 2022. This was reported by Rosstat.
Of the total amount of unpaid wages as of May 1, debts incurred in 2022 account for 198.3 million rubles (22.3%), in 2021 – 170.2 million rubles (19.1%), in 2020 and earlier – 520.5 million rubles (58.6%).
The share of employees of the surveyed organizations, to whom there were wage arrears, as of May 1 was less than 1%.
By types of economic activity, the number of employees to whom there was debt was distributed as follows: manufacturing – 55.4%, construction – 12.1%, agriculture, hunting and provision of services in these areas; logging – 8.5%, water supply, sanitation, waste collection and disposal, pollution control activities – 5.8%, transport – 5.4%, mining – 4.4%.
