The volume of Russian imports from Belarus increased by 14.6%, the trade turnover of the Russian Federation with Belarus increased by 9% to $30.5 billion. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach at a meeting of the high-level group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, the ministry said in a statement.
The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of cooperation in the industrial sphere, as well as joint solutions in the field of industrial software, increasing the supply of glass products, lumber, elevator equipment, medicines and medical products.
The parties paid special attention to the issue of creating an agreement on the recognition of electronic digital signatures, which is necessary for a common space of trust between Russia and Belarus. In the future, the document may be used as a basis for the legal provision of mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures with other countries, as well as within the framework of the work of international associations with the participation of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
