The volume of assets of retail investors in 2025 amounted to 12.3 trillion rubles, an increase of 16% over the year. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia, which explains the increase in the indicator by a record influx of new money into brokerage accounts and an increase in the value of bonds.
Retail investors have deposited 2.5 trillion rubles into their brokerage accounts over the year. This is almost 1.5 times more than in 2024 and has become a record figure for the last 4 years. The bulk of the proceeds were provided by qualified investors, whose number approached 1 million.
The number of clients with assets over 10 thousand rubles increased to 5.5 million from 4.9 million over the year. The fastest growth rates were observed in the segment of the wealthiest investors with a portfolio of over 1 million rubles.
The share of debt securities in the total portfolio structure increased to 38% from 32% over the year. The share of shares decreased to 25% from 30%.
