In the Russian Federation, 576.5 billion rubles worth of car loans were issued in the first half of 2025. This is 47.2% less than in the same period of 2024, according to the NBKI website.
The Rostov and Moscow regions, Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region showed the most serious dynamics of reducing the volume of car loans among the 15 leading regions in this type of retail lending.
The largest volume of car loans issued was recorded in Moscow – 52.5 billion rubles, the Moscow region (46.5 billion rubles), St. Petersburg (31.3 billion rubles), Krasnodar Territory (29 billion rubles) and Tatarstan (28 billion rubles).
