The volume of foreign trade of the Russian Federation in January increased by 4.6%

The volume of foreign trade of the Russian Federation in January 2025 amounted to $50.7 billion, which is 4.6% higher than in the same period of 2024. Exports reached $29.3 billion, while imports reached $21.4 billion. This is stated in the message of the Federal Customs Service.

Mineral products formed the basis of exports from the Russian Federation. Their share in the commodity structure of exports reached 61.4%. The share of machinery, equipment and other goods in the commodity structure of imports was 50.8%.

The main trading partners of the Russian Federation are the countries of the Asian region with exports of $22.4 billion and imports of $15.5 billion. European countries are in second place (exports – $4.6 billion, imports – $4.5 billion). This is followed by the countries of the American continent (exports – $0.9 billion, imports – $1.1 billion) and African countries (exports – $1.4 billion, imports – $0.3 billion).
