The volume of industrial production in the Russian Federation in April 2023 increased by 5.2% year-on-year. Compared to the previous month, it decreased by 5%. In January-April, industrial production increased by 0.6%. This was reported by Rosstat.
The main driver of growth in April was an increase in the volume of output in manufacturing industries (+8% year-on-year).
Mining production increased by 3.1% compared to April 2022. Compared to March, the indicator decreased by 3.8%.
The energy sector showed a decrease in the index both compared to April 2022 and compared to March 2023 - by 1.4% and by 14.6%, respectively.
