Industrial production in the Russian Federation increased by 1.9% year-on-year in April 2026, following a 2.3% increase in the previous month. In January-April of this year, industrial production increased by 0.7%. This is reported in the materials of the Ministry of Economic Development.
The manufacturing sector recorded a 3.1% increase in April, following a 3% increase in the previous month. In the first four months of this year, the indicator increased by 0.3%. The largest positive contribution to the dynamics of manufacturing industries in April was made by the machine-building complex, whose growth rate increased by 14.7% after an 11.7% increase a month earlier.
The mining sector in April showed a decrease of 0.4% after a 1% increase a month earlier. In January-April, output growth in the extractive sector amounted to 0.5%.
In the energy sector, output increased by 0.9% in April, following a 0.1% increase a month earlier. In the first four months, production in the energy sector increased by 3.2%.
