The total volume of investments by private investors in the Moscow Exchange stock market in July amounted to a record 132.7 billion rubles in 2024. The volume of investments in shares reached 16.3 billion rubles, bonds – 63.7 billion rubles, exchange-traded funds – 52.6 billion rubles.
The share of individuals in the volume of trading in shares was 67%, in the volume of trading in bonds – 34%, in the spot currency market - 9%, in the futures market – 67%.
The most popular securities in the portfolios of private investors in July 2024 were ordinary and preferred shares of Sberbank - 34% and 8%, respectively, shares of LUKOIL - 15%, Gazprom - 13%, Rosneft - 6%, Yandex - 6%, preferred shares of Surgutneftegaz - 5%, shares of Norilsk Nickel - 5%, Ozon depositary receipts - 4% and T-Bank shares - 4%.
