The volume of loading in the Russian Railways network in August decreased by 5%

In August 2022, the volume of loading in the Russian Railways network amounted to 103.6 million tons. This is 5% less than a year earlier. Freight turnover decreased by 0.2% to 220.7 billion tariff tonne-km year-on-year, freight turnover, taking into account the mileage of empty wagons, decreased by 0.4% to 275.7 billion tonne-km. This is stated in the message of Russian Railways.

In January-August 2022, the volume of loading decreased by 3.4% to 820.5 million tons. Cargo turnover increased by 0.7% to 1753.9 billion tariff tonne-km, cargo turnover, taking into account the mileage of empty wagons, increased by 0.2% to 2197.5 billion tonne-km.
