The volume of operations on the Moscow Exchange derivatives market increased by 71% in July

The volume of transactions on the derivatives market of the Moscow Stock Exchange in July 2026 amounted to almost 17.5 trillion rubles. This is 71% higher than in July 2025, according to the exchange's website.

The volume of open positions in the exchange-traded derivatives market increased by 8% to 2.8 trillion rubles in July.

Futures and options transactions on the stock exchange were carried out by 150,000 customers in July, which is 9% more than in July 2025. The share of private investors in the total volume of trading in exchange-traded derivatives was 51%.

The top ten most popular instruments for individuals in terms of volume of transactions included futures on the Moscow Exchange Index, quarterly futures on the currency pairs "US dollar-Russian ruble" and "Chinese yuan-Russian ruble", Brent oil contract, quarterly futures on gold, perpetual futures on the Moscow Exchange index, perpetual futures on the pairs "Chinese yuan-Russian ruble" and "US dollar-Russian ruble", silver futures and cocoa contract.
